The Friends of the Brontes’ Church have made a substantial donation of £25,000 towards the Church’s Restoration Fund. The presentation took place during today’s service at St Michael and All Angels.

Friends Chairman Peter Breed, who is also the Churchwarden, and Friends Secretary John Huxley presented a cheque to the Rector, the Rev. Peter Mullins.

Mr Breed said: “We hope this money will go a long way to help pay for the essential re-wiring work within Church.”

Rev. Mullins commented: “We are very grateful to the Friends for their hard work and for the money that will go a long way towards meeting the bill for the re-wiring.”
