Collecting everything together in one place on 19 September

Open for worship.  We continue to meet each Sunday at 11.00 a.m. (and at 9.30 a.m. at both St Gabriel’s, Stanbury and at St James’, Cross Roads, and mid-week Communion continues at 9.30 a.m. each Wednesday at St James’, Cross Roads).  Holy Communion on 26 September, Michaelmas Morning Worship on 3 October, Holy Communion on 10 October, and Harvest All Age Worship on 17 October (when any gifts will be passed on to the Worth Valley Food bank).   We are still asking those who attend church to wear masks (unless exempt), hand sanitise on entry, and maintain some level of social distancing.

Open for tourists and private prayer.  The church is now once again open through each day.  We may soon have tour guides on duty, possibly each Wednesday.  There is a twenty-five minute talk at the Brontë gravesite in St Michael’s at both 12.00 noon and 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 22 September (the 200th anniversary of her the funeral of Maria Brontë).

Other prayer opportunities in our churches.  There will be a prayer walk beginning at St James’, Cross Roads 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Saturday 25 September.  Breathing Space (an opportunity for reflective and silent Christian prayer) is at St Gabriel’s, Stanbury at 7.00 p.m. on Monday 27 September (and each fourth Monday in the month) and at St James’, Cross Roads at 8.45 a.m. on Tuesday 12 October (and each second Tuesday in the month)

Worship on-line.  Our weekly videos have had to come to an end but many old ones are still available to view immediately below this post.  But we live stream the mid-week Communion from St James’ on our Facebook page at 9.30 a.m. each Wednesday (but we won’t manage this on 22 September – sorry).
