Gathering everything together in one place on 5 September

Open for tourists and private prayer.  The church is now once again open through each day.  We may soon have tour guides on duty, possibly each Wednesday.

Open for worship.  We continue to meet each Sunday at 11.00 a.m. (and at 9.30 a.m. at both St Gabriel’s, Stanbury and at St James’, Cross Roads, and mid-week Communion continues at 9.30 a.m. each Wednesday at St James’, Cross Roads).  All Age Worship with a Baptism (not Holy Communion) on 12 September, and Holy Communion on both 19 and 26 September.   We are still asking those who attend church to wear masks (unless exempt), hand sanitise on entry, and maintain some level of social distancing.

Worship on-line.  Our weekly videos have had to come to an end  but many old ones are still available to view immediately below this post.  But our first experiments with live streaming services (the mid-week Communion from St James’ each time) now appear on our Facebook page.

200th anniversary of Maria Brontë’s death. A repeated twenty-five minute talk with readings at the grave site in church is planned for Wednesday 15 September (the day of her death) at 12.00 noon and 2.30 p.m., for both Saturday 18 September and Sunday 19 September at 2.30 p.m., and for Wednesday 22 September (the day of her funeral) at 12.00 noon and 2.30 p.m.
