Twenty people shared in special Ash Wednesday services and now many have begun to use our special Lent leaflet to pray for each other. For the end of this week we are simply praying for all that is done within the life of our churches, from those who run the stalls for the Friends of the Bronte Church to those who mow the grass at St Gabriel’s or cut the hedge at St James’. At 6.00 on Sunday some will gather at West Lane Baptist Church to watch the film ‘The Theory of Everything’ (about Stephen Hawking) which will be the basis of an ecumenical Lent Course there each Sunday evening.
