Our churches remain open today (Saturday) and our King and country prayed for at services tomorrow morning (9.30 at St Gabriel’s, Stanbury and 11.00 at St Michael’s, Haworth). The King will be proclaimed in London today and then around the country tomorrow and for local parishes this will be at 4 o’clock and in our case on the steps outside St Michael’s with the church bells being rung straight away afterwards. In due course a special service will be held close to (but not on the day of) the late Queen’s funeral.
